No need to any apps on the Galaxy Nexus. Go to Settings->Data usage (need to have it turned on already), and you can see an approximation of your data usage. It will also show you just how much data each app has used. You can also set it to mirror your billing cycle, so it will reset every month.

No need to install, it comes preinstalled on the Galaxy Nexus.
To register for my verizon website, go here to register your mobile phone number and set up your account
You will be setting up your username/password. Once you have it setup, then go to the myverizon app on the phone and you will need to login there once. It will come up unless you change your password on My Verizon on the web....
Painless to setup, just follow the prompts, pay attention to the information that your given. Should take less than 10 minutes of your time (been a while since I setup my account, so it might take a couple minutes longer than 10, but it doesn't take a lot of time.)
