Being able to manage your applications as you wish is important, UTVOLSWANAB23. What options if any are currently showing when you access the application manager? Are you noticing this with all applications or only a select few? Looking forward to hearing back.

I recently helped my sister in law on her droid maxx 2 device I think it was running Android M. I used this article to help her: https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/prod_answer_detail/a_id/109134/p/1449,6703

Although in her case she just wanted to expand her memory so we had to reformat the card.

I just grabbed a co-workers S5 and did the following: Settings > Storage > reformatted a memory card (I placed an old memory card I had in the device).

Then went to Settings > Applications > Application Manager > selected an app (ASTRO File Manager) > selected storage > change > SD card.

Keep in mind some apps are not able to be moved to external memory. I believe it is up to the Developer. Also, you may need to reformat your memory card and try again. Keep in mind to backup anything you don't want to lose during teh reformat.
