scroll up and down through apps (grid view) rather than side to side?

Is there a way to scroll through your apps up and down instead of side by side while in grid view (not list view)?

not in the stock form

a third party launcher such as adw may be able to

yeah, ADW or launcher pro will work but you'll lose the Samsung native widgets.  If you don't mind 1 app per line, you can hit the menu button while in the app drawer and choose list view for Touchwiz
