I was wondering if there was speed dial and not just starring a contact and if so how.

Speed dials has always made calling frequently dialed numbers super convenient! It’s definitely as hassle free way of dialing. Plus, you don’t have to remember the person’s number. My favorite feature about speed dials is that there’s no need to dial a country code when calling internationally. All you have to do is simply program it into the contacts & set that contact as a speed dial.
As great as the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is, it does not have an “official” speed dial function. The starred contacts can serve as a speed dial functionality. If you prefer the traditional speed dial then I would recommend searching the Android Play Store for additional options. Although I am not able to make a recommendation on 3rd party apps, I do suggest reading the reviews on each app from other users. The feedback that is noted has proven to be VERY useful in making a decision on an app.
