A VZW. rep told me visual voice mail is free. According to Verizon it's $2.99 a month.

Basic visual voice mail was included free with the recent 4.4.4 update on the S5 (it also includes a 30-day trial of premium visual voice mail). Premium visual voice mail is $2.99 per month.

Yep basic visual voice mail is free now. If you want enhanced visual voice you can use google voice so it will be printed out as a text. Mary

I agree. I don't want VVM. It eats up my data (which I share with my family). If I get a VM, I can still get into my traditional dial-up VM, but I keep getting these annoying notifications to upgrade my VM to VMM and I can't get it to stop.

I believe when you retrieve the vm it takes a little data. I am using Premium and have retrieved and listened to 5 so far and only used .006 gb of data. So it's not much at all. I only have 2GB a month (SML plan) and never come close to 1 GB usage.

The basic visual voice mail service is free to set-up and use to a point in update 4.4.4. However you will be charged for your DATA use that this visual service requires. Basic "standard" voice mail does not use DATA and so there is no added cost or loss to your data plan.

Oh my, I am sorry that this message keeps popping up, I am sure it is rather bothersome. Let's get rid of this pop up so you can enjoy your phone. To stop the visual voice mail indicator please go to settings, application manager, visual voice mail, uninstall updates and force stop. Please let us know if this helps.

That would be great, however visual voice mail is not in that list. Just Voicemail is
