I am traveling internationally and want to use wifi calling. I am keeping the phone (Samsung S22+) in airplane mode to avoid triggering a Travel Pass charge. The phone won't let me make wifi calls in airplane mode, stating I must turn off airplane mode to make the call. I have searched and this issue has been around for a while. Has anyone figured out how to fix this? I've tried all the suggestions on other threads/posts I've found on the internet.
This is a seriously frustrating issue that needs fixing. To add to the confusion, it was working yesterday, but not today. Our other phone (Samsung S20 FE) does the same thing.

Good afternoon, and thanks for reaching out today. This can be a bit tricky especially when out of the country, but I'm here to help however I can. Do you currently have Wi-Fi assist on?*Justin
