I am receiving texts from an international source and a number larger than the 10 Verizon allows to be blocked.
I wouldn't mind so much but each of these texts costs me .20
Is there a way to block these texts?
I do not like getting texts that are unwanted and that I do not want to pay for this harassment.

I know it must be frustrating receiving text messages from a number you don't recognize. Although we do offer Call and Message Blocking, where you can block up to five 10-digit numbers from calling and messaging you, this option is not available with international numbers. If you don’t recognize the number who you’re receiving text messages from you do have the option of changing your mobile number by logging in to My Verizon to prevent additional charges.

You can block text messages from the web etc. Whole domains or select numbers or people. It is free.
You can also use an alias and have it that people have to use your alias to send text messages.
Again its free.
That does not Stop Texting Fees if you can not block international texting! Why Can't I Block Ghana Texting!
Since I am being charged for text messages I should be able to control which phone numbers to accept them from. Something as basic as "only accept incoming texts from my contacts" should be provided.
I would also like to add a request that Verizon update the capability to block certain international texts. Changing the phone number I have had for years seems to be an unreasonable response to this problem.
