Okay. I'm confused. If i want to block a phone number on mine and my sons line what will happen on both ends. When he sends a message to the number will he get a message in return saying it's restricted or blocked? Will they get the message if he is the one sending it? What about when they text him..what kind of message will they receive? Will they know it's been blocked? Same goes for calling. Please help..thanks.

Callers you have blocked will hear "Welcome to Verizon Wireless. The number you are trying to reach has calling restrictions which have prevented the completion of your call."
People attempting to text to your number will get a notification that delivery failed.
You will still be able to contact (send text, call) a blocked number; they will not be able to contact you.
