Call Filter Plus

As with most things "Verizon", Call Filter Plus seems like something Verizon created to gather additional revenue, rather than create something that properly fills a customer need. The feature doesn't seem to actually filter calls, nor in a "plus" manner. Verizon's online help doesn't really explain what a customer sees within the filter, nor exactly how it's supposed to work. Add in your specific phone's call filtering features, and it's difficult to see what your phone is doing vs what Verizon is doing to filter calls.

What is interesting is the seeming ability to see a 30-day log of incoming calls that, for whatever reason, don't show up as unanswered calls on the phone itself. Oddly, some nuisance calls get to the phone as voice mail, but never show up in Verizon's call filter "all" list of calls . Why and how? Unknown.

For now, I see no real benefit of paying for Call Filter Plus, nor even using the free Call Filter, as an iPhone seems to nearly the same. You can block voice mail for spam calls, but it doesn't seem to work for specific numbers, which seems to be what the Plus version was supposed to do.

Verizon could learn a thing from T-Mobile: Simple, easy-to-understand customer facing information.

So, the question: Is the 30-day log of incoming calls in Call Filter complete, ie includes all answered and unanswered calls? (It isn't complete for me; how can calls get to my device without showing up in the 30-day log? And, the log sometimes shows calls that never show up on an iPhone. Why?)

Since this is a community board, it's unclear why Verizon can't simply respond directly here, so future customers can search and find information as well. You may be here for us 24/7, but whether being here results in anything valuable is often the question when dealing with Verizon. Private note will just include what was publicly posted here.
