Does anyone know if a Bright side non-smart phone can have the Family Locator on it?

I use my Samsung Brightside to access Family Locator. As Administrator, I go to "Mobile Web" and log in at http:\\fl.vzw.com to "Locate" a family member, view their location history, etc. I also receive text notifications
on my Brightside from Family Locator for Updates I have set up previously.. For example: (by Location) Anytime a family member arrives or departs within 1/2 mile of a certain address, or For example: (by Time) I receive a text everyday at 10:00, 12:00, and 2:00 letting me know where that family member is at that time.All of that is without
t havine app installed.
As far as Locating the Brightside, I'm pretty sure the app has to be installed for that. With the app installed, I receive an annoying message (about the ability of your phone to be located) and an annoying beep,every time I turn my phone on. .
