I noticed that Verizon is now selling Google's New Pixel 3 XL Phone. I was wondering If there was any chance of Verizon working with Google to FINALLY CORRECT the issue of; the Verizon Message Plus App NOT being compatible with Google's Android Smartwatch Software (IE: Wear OS). A Prompt & Honest Answer would be greatly appreciated...Thanx.

As of July 2019, It appears Movboi Tic Watch; in conjunction with Verizon has developed an Android Smartwatch that's actally compatible with the Verizon Network. The watch is called The Tic Watch Pro 4G LTE and it even has cellular capabilities. This smartwatch is Exclusive ONLY to Verizon and it costs $299. It appears this smartwatch is the only Android Smartwatch that's compatible to the Verizon Network.
For more info on this new watch, see attached link Above...

Hi, JOG0277. I'm glad our newest Google device has caught your attention but I'm disappointed to hear you've run into any issues with Verizon Messages (Message+) working with Android Wear. We have worked closely with application developers and Google to get you the best performance possible across all your devices. Can you tell me more about exactly what you're experiencing after you download Verizon Messages from the Google Play Store and turn-on Advance Calling from Settings and finally Android Wear? What model phone and what Android smartwatch are you using?

This has been an on going problem with Verizon since the beginning of 2018. This issue affects All Android Smartwatches that are being used on the Verizon Network. I have the LG Watch Sport Smartwatch (Model W280A) and I was using it on the Verizon Network. I previously updated my smartwatch software to Android Wear Oreo (now called Wear OS). Immediately after updating the software; the Verizon Message Plus App was no longer visible on my smartwatch. This resulted in me not being able to send or receive messages on my Watch. I tried everything to correct the issue; I called customer service, I uninstalled / reinstalled apps and I reset my watch; but nothing seemed to work. Then I realized, that there is a Bug inside of the Android Wear Software that prevents the Verizon Message Plus App from working. I've complained to Verizon on numerous occasions about this, but Verizon doesn't seem interested in solving the problem (see attached link below for additional Info). As it stands now; there are no Android Smartwatches that will work on the Verizon Network due to this issue (Samsung Smartwatches are not Android Smartwatches)....If Verizon wants to contunue making a profit by selling android watches to their customers, then they need to fix this issue....Hopefully this time around, my discussion doesn't get "Locked-Out" by a Moderator and Verizon actually decides to solve this problem.

I have spent nearly 8 hours going back and forth with Google and Verizon about Message+ not notifying me of return texts on Google Pixel 3. Verizon says it's not their fault. Google says it's not related to Google Pixel 3.
I give up, but if Verizon is selling Google Pixel 3, its Message+ shoud work on it. What a disaster.
I had to revert to the Messanger on Google out of sheer frustration.

Urquie, I'm truly sorry to learn of your experience. We want to make sure we can find you a resolution. I want to ensure we are on the same page. Can you tell me more about what you mean by returned text message? Are the messages you're deleting loading back onto the device? Please provide more information, we want to help.

Dear Verizon Rep: Do you have an update on the status of the disabled Integreated Calling feature within the Verizon Message Plus App...I'm guessing you probably can't give me an answer on whether or not The Message Plus App "WILL EVER" be compatible with Wear OS, but you should at least be able to tell me if Integrated Calling will be Enabled Again for tablet use (at least that's a start)....
A Prompt and Accurate Response would be Greatly Appreciated....Thanx!

JOG0277, I completely understand wanting to get an update as to the future of the Integrated Calling ability in Message+. I'm the same way, wishing for as much information as I can get. Right now the calling feature is still disabled, as we are working on resolving technical issues the feature had and ensure our customers have a good experience using the service. We apologize for any inconvenience this is causing, and are actively working to make this feature available again at some point in the future. Once more information on the feature is available, we'll be sure to share it.
As you can imagine, we want to ensure that technology and features we're offering can work as best as possible. Sometimes, this results in us taking more time to get it right. We appreciate your patience while we're working on this so that we can make it better.

Thank you for your timely response, but this Integrated Calling Issue has been a problem since December of 2017, so It's fair to say that myself as well as other customers have been more than patient with this issue........
Please be honest; is Verizon actually working on resolving this issue or am I being fed a bunch of Red Tape; in order to keep me quiet?....If Verizon is really working on this issue, do you at least have an approximate timeline when this issue will be resolved (we've waited long enough...don't cha think?)...?

What does the calling feature have to do with the fact that the Message+ is not available for WearOS (smartwaches)? The fact that calling feature has been added is not a solution to this topic

While the Verizon Message Plus App is still not compatible with Google's Wear OS Smartwatch Software; Integrated Calling is still an important feature on the Verizon Network. To put it in simple terms....If Google suddenly fixed the issue and made the Verizon App compatible with their software; you still wouldn't be able to make phone calls on an LTE Smartwatch as a Stand Alone Device without Integrated Calling.
Integrated Calling is the 1st Step in allowing Tablets and LTE Smartwatches to the ability to make phone calls as Stand Alone Devices using your Original Verizon Cell Phone Number....While enabling this feature isn't a complete solution to the problem...It's still the 1st step towards resolving the issue.
I prefer to count my Blessings...One Baby Step At A Time.....

The short answer is ....NO!! But as I stated in my previous text; this action by Verizon may be the 1st step towards them resolving this compatibility issue.

This thread is specifically about WearOS issue though. How did it sidetrack to being about a calling feature?
We want an update about not being able to get notifications on WearOS and the fact that the app is also not available on that platform

I'm not sure if you are aware, but the Integrated Calling and The Message Plus App compatibility issue to Wear OS; are related issues.
Can someone from Verizon Chime and either confirm or deny if Verizon is actually working on resolving this issue of Verizon Apps not being Compatible to Wear OS??!!??...

May I suggest....Instead of focusing your criticism of me....Maybe you should focus your criticism on Verizon solving this particular issue. Hopefully, if enough customers continue to focus on the Actual Issue instead of me....Maybe this will put enough pressure on Verizon to fix this problem.

So far, I have been able to sideload the app onto my watch (using ADB instructions I found online). I've gotten Verizon Messages onto my watch, but when I open it, the screen just goes white and never actually opens the app. Then, it just reverts back to my watch face. I'm thinking that I have to change the app version to something older, like from June 2017 and load that to my watch. (If that doesn't work, maybe I would have to download an older version on my phone - which I'm not sure how to do, yet.) What do you all think about this?
By the way, does Informer for Wear show you actual texts from Verizon Messages on your watch?
(I am using an LG Watch Urbane.)

Well, I now have Verizon Messages and Hangouts working as they did before, with notifications.
I have written out the steps below. I don't 100% know if they are in order or they even need to be in an order. But, it took a lot of playing around, and I got them both to show me text notifications as they did before.
