I can send and receive texts from my android phone using message+. I installed message+ on my windows 10 laptop. I can send messages from the laptop and they are received by the person I sent them to, but do not sync to my phone. Also messages sent on my phone do not show up on my laptop. I removed message+ and reinstalled it but the problem persists.

So sorry to hear about the issues with Message+, HeidiMcCullough. I know how handy this feature is and I'm happy to help explain what is going on to clear up why you are having these confusing experiences. The Message+ Verizon Messages - Windows Desktop application is not compatible with Windows 10 computers. The Windows messaging client for Verizon messages is being temporarily removed to prevent syncing issues and customers are able to utilize the messaging web client as a windows alternative. http://spr.ly/6603ENVyJ The Message+ team is aware and working on a resolution.

Finally some information - thank you for letting us know what is going on Ryan.
Really weird because I have been using Message+ for the past several years on my Windows 10 machines.
Please keep us posted as to when the new Win10 application is available.

Wow. The first post on this thread was in March. 5 Months later, this is all you have? You should be getting us a month's credit of service for all of the customers' time you've been wasting on this issue. Terrible.

Hello Verizon,
Which build of Windows 10 is it not compatible with? I've been running Windows 10 for a couple of years and it Verizon desktop message+ just stopped working 2 - 3 weeks ago. A little more detail on the Windows 10 would be helpful.
Also, can Verizon provide access to your last release of Message+? The one prior to this one? I'm leaning toward the problem being with your latest release of Message+ and not so much with Win10.
It would be very helpful, so please forward this along. We'll 'beta' test if for you if you're not willing to test it out yourselves.
Thank you

The latest release of Message+ 6.9.0 was updated on my Galaxy 10 on August 8th. That matches up quite well with when the desktop version quit working.
Looked on my laptop, and I have the the following error/Failure in the event log:
Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80073D02: 9WZDNCRDCSNZ-VerizonWireless.VerizonMessages.
8/9/2019 10:08:34 AM - same day my cell phone verizon messages app updated.

Same here. It was working. I came to rely on it even with the poor UI. And now its not working and Verizon does not seem to care much? This is clearly a systemic problem and not isolated to just one user.

Dear Tech support.
Go the M$ app store, look at the reviews. Basically 1 star reviews (I suspect it would be 0 if there was an option).
279 of them.
It is time you talked to Micro$oft and get your act together.
Maybe if someone has a TV network or newspaper contact then we can get the ball rolling through massive public embarrassment, which, at this point seems to be the only viable solution.

The work around is use this link:web.vma.vzw.com
It'll ask you for your Verizon userid and password. After that you will see message plus and you can send text that way and it'll synch with your phone.

I have the same problem - only worse. Message+ has worked fine on my Windows 10 computers. A couple days ago (somewhere around 8/20/2019) it stopped sending or recieving messages. It looks like it works and even says "sent" on the bottom of my outgoing messages, but no one receives them.
I have no idea how many immportant messages I thought I was sending out went nowhere.
It stopped receiving messagfes at the same tiem (Iassume)
Messagiong still works fine on my Andoid phone and older Android tablet. Needless to say, the Android devices do not show the messages I thought I had sent from the computers..
HELP!

I welcome any members, with more insight into the logic of the Verizon Messages app FAILURES, to scrutinize my logic and provide any constructive criticism possible.
I've rerun my test cases with my collection of devices/apps.
I may be mistaken, but I consider my devices to be running a "client" app for the Verizon Messages function and that each one communicates with the "Verizon servers".
I've reconfirmed all my results are exactly as I've (previously) tabulated in my spreedsheet matrix (attached).
Still no changes, since FAILURES started about 19 July 2019 (in my case).
Verizon servers receive from all Verizon client apps (evidence = Web Page).
Verizon servers always send out to the destination number [BlackBerry Z30].
Verizon servers sync back all received Windows client messages to all other Windows clients, but NOT to any Android/iOS clients.
Verizon servers sync back all received Android/iOS client messages to all other Android/iOS clients, but NOT to any Windows clients.
FALSE: "The Message+ Verizon Messages - Windows Desktop application is not compatible with Windows 10 computers."
Works just fine, IF the source was a Windows client!
FALSE: "The Windows messaging client for Verizon messages is being temporarily removed"
My Windows clients work just fine (through the Verizon servers, WHEN the message came from one of the other Windows messaging clients).
Verizon Messages is still offered in the Microsoft Store in Windows 10.
What has been "removed"?
In my theory or theoretical model, the Verizon Messages SERVER has been BROKEN by something. Verizon? Microsoft? Global warming??

Me as well. Have been using it for a few years, and it just stopped working. And I now can't delete the app from my phone, it says Verizon Messages+ is an Andriod app (Don't think this was the case before). There was a phone system upgrade recently. I believe they messed up something up as I don't see any solutions here. Note as well: I did delete and reinstall on the PC, but the PC is fine. I can send out texts from PC but any text i send fro mthe cell do not reach the PC, only the recipients. So now I have to keep my cell open all the time as opposed to seeing client texts when working.

Message+ quit on two Windows 10 laptops. I'm up to date with Windows 10 software. The website version works and it has a Sync button to refresh. Verizon should add that to the Win 10 app.

I am having the same problem. I have uninstalled, re-downloaded, reinstalled - multiple times.
My Samsung Galaxy 8+ works fine. The web access to messaging works but the windows 10 app will not receive.
@Verizonsupport if you are not going to fix the app take it down. My issues occured within the same time frame as everyone else on this thread.

This has been an ongoing issue even with the previous version of the desktop app. I just installed the Windows 10 version on my desktop and it still seems to be struggling to sync. I can send messages from the desktop, but receiving them is hit and miss. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. The older desktop version also had message notifications that would pop-up when getting messages, but the newer version doesn't seem to have that. I am pretty surprised the software took such a step back in functionality. Hopefully they come out with a decent version soon. I have been writing to support and in forums about the desktop messaging apps since it first came out, which I am guessing has been 5-6 years now. I know there must be thousands of complaints, comments, suggestions. Spend some of those profits on your people and give an app that works!

Yes. The App does not work. It is on the Verizon end. They are having some trouble troubleshooting this issue. SImultaneously all the computers, phones, accounts, different OS's (WIndows 8.1 and 10) are not working with the App. Worked fine a month ago. Telling me to reset my phone, look at my account, reinstall the App, etc. just does not work.

I'm so sick of companies removing great features and throwing more useless bloatware out there.
Verizon, fix the Message+ app! Not the Microsoft Store app either. Just like everyone else, mine stopped working last Tuesday 8/20. The MS store app is NOT the same thing. It doesn't run in the background as a service and frankly it's more bloated than the standalone app.
Bring back the Message+ standalone app!!!

FWIW: I just got off the phone with Tier 2 buisness tech support. They did acknowledge the issue. Syncing between windows 10 (for sure) and Message+ is broken. They did not have an ETA on a repair. All I could do was tell them this was an important feature we'd like fixed. The agen did tell me they have gotten alot of calls. So I'd say, if you haven't called in, do so and log a case. The more of us that do, at least they'll konw its important.
