Mysterious un-delivered message in Message+?

I have a exclamation triangle displayed on the right side of a conversation indicating that a message was un-delivered. However, I've searched through all the messages and cannot find one that wasn't delivered. I'm assuming deleting the conversation and starting a new one would fix it, but I'd rather not do that...any ideas? I've already deleted the cache.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, EDTIP9. That is certainly an eyebrow raiser especially since it does show that the message went through successfully. Would you mind telling me more about the text messaging application you are using? When did you first notice that the triangle exclamation points started showing? Has the device gone through any new software updates?

I'm using Message+ Version 6.6.4
I noticed it about a week or two ago. When it appeared, I looked through recent messages all appeared to be delivered. This may have started when the app was last updated, I'm not positive.

Thank you for those additional details as that will help us get to the root of this concern. Just so we are all on the same page, your concern is the symbol itself, as all messages have seemed to be delivered, correct? Are you actually having any issues sending or receiving texts? Are you having any issues with the other aspects of your service calls/data? Have you tried resetting the app itself? If not here are the steps to do so https://vz.to/2qhMZVM.

I depend on my messaging service to work right. Let's get this figured out. Have you tried using another app? Does this happen with a specific contact or all messages?

I've tried other apps and this doesn't appear to be an issue with them. I only see it with one contact/conversation.

Thank you for the details. Do you only see the notification with one contact in your messages?

Yes, it is only 1 conversation with 1 contact that shows this notification.

Maybe u can try clicking on the contact and see if u can view your guys' history of calls and texts and maybe see if any are pending there. If not, one thing helped me years ago with same problem, is i deleted the contact not the message thread. After rebooting my phone up, i cleared cache, than re added contact.

This didn't work either. I can't uninstall the app completely, just the updates. I uninstalled updates and disabled, then re-enabled and re-installed updates. This icon still appears.
This is only with 1 text conversation with 1 person. It would be nice to have a feature to search for undelivered messages or simply clear alerts.

Thank you so much for testing that out for us, EDTIP9. Let's keep digging into this. The app, will display the triangle with an exclamation anytime a message may have failed to deliver. Unfortunately, it will not show you which message this was. More than likely, it may have been a multimedia message that failed. Through the Playstore, you will see an option to uninstall the app. Please attempt this and let us know how it goes. Just to confirm, are you having trouble sending and receiving messages with this contact?

I've tried uninstalling the app, it only lets me uninstall the updates (which I have tried several times). I'm not having issues sending and receiving messages, just this annoying triangle.

I appreciate you checking that for us. Is the contact that you are experiencing this issue with a Verizon Wireless customer?

Thank you, EDTIP9. I was able to test out this issue through my Message+ and found the message that caused the triangle. To remove the triangle, you would need to locate the actual message that failed and resend the message or erase the message. If you are not able to locate the message, the best option is to delete the full thread with that contact. The message is most likely a multimedia message. This is the only way to remove the triangle. We hope this information is helpful.

I assumed this would work but, as I stated in the original post, I don't want to lose the thread. There are a lot of pictures that I don't want to lose. It would be much better if the app took you to the failed message when touching the triangle.
