Hello. For the past year I have had daily text exchanges with a specific number. Then, beginning on 11/15/22, I began receiving a "Landline" error message from Verizon when I tried to send a message to this number (but that number could still send texts to me).
I have read about similar situations on Verizon forums spanning 10-plus years. Can someone help me resolve this? I am noting the error message below (but will be glad to give the specific number to a Verizon representative).
+1xxx-yyy-zzzz is a landline #. Reply Y to send all TXT messages to this # as voice messages for 0.25/msg.+ std msg fee. Details @ vtext.com, TexttoLandline

I failed to mention in my above post that two other Verizon customers I know also started having this same issue sending to the same number as of 11/15.

Hello! Thanks for sharing this information with us today. That is very strange that line suddenly stopped receiving text messages from you. Which text messaging app are you using to send them text messages? *Bryan

Same! It’s happening at my job. We have technicians, office staff (me), and customers with Verizon who have always been able to text us and now they are unable. It started randomly and always says it’s a landline so they cannot text us back. Other workers and customers can text us just fine, without issue.

We understand how important it is to stay connected. Were any changes made to your line, or your customers, when this first started happening?

Sorry I didn’t see this! No changes! And now we have reports of more customers with this issue. :(. And myself and more techs, all with Verizon and none with any other carrier.

Jp138, we certainly want all of our services to work for our customers. Is your line a Verizon line or is that number with another provider?
We ask because we would need to submit a network ticket to investigate this issue, but that is something that can only be done through a Verizon account experiencing that issue.

yes I’m a Verizon customer. The line we are attempting to text is not but that service provider does not know what is going on either. I’ve been collecting my own research and learned it is only affecting employees and customers who have Verizon though
