Installed the v2.5.3 update and now Messages+ will not get past a white window.  Hung for over 15 min.  MacOS 10.13.6.

This response is to the customer support person who asked if I've deleted and reinstalled the app.  Yes I've done that several times.  The issue is the app, not my computer.

 

I've also been in contact with the verizon wireless support people.  No fix.  

 

This is ridiculous.  The only solution I've found is to delete the current version and reinstalled an earlier version from my backup.  garbage.

I'm truly sorry about the issues you're having with this app on your computer debster_c. I can understand the frustration. Have you tried to download this app to a different computer to find out if the issues is with your computer system or the application?

@vzw_customer_support , @KinquanaH_VZW  Basic troubleshooting steps is to try to replicate the issue.  Can't you contact the Verizon Messaging Team to see if they can replicate the issue?  Someone there must have access to a MAC computer.

No I have not, since I don't use the app on any other computer.  I am not the only one having this problem, so perhaps Verizon Wireless should FIX IT!

Yes the app worked before the most recent version was released in March.  I've reinstalled an earlier version from my backup and it works fine.  I've also been in touch with wireless support as recommended by another verizon customer on this thread.  They have not helped.

I know this is confusing and I'm sorry you haven't seen a solution just yet, debster_c. We're determined to figure this out. When exactly are you getting the blank screen that you described earlier after launching the app? Have you tried turning off syncing and then re-enabling again? @vzw_customer_support , @ryanm_vzw   It doesn't help that you continue to add comments (now on page 6) that don't acknowledge the issue.  People have explicitly described the issue being the new version(s) of Message+ do NOT work on the MAC OSX version.  Reverting to a previous version DOES still work.  Using an alternate method of accessing Message+ messaging doesn't solve the issue here.

Same issue as everyone else... was getting by, and now the Mac app is completely useless... come up, click on the box to send a message... spins and dies.....

I am about on my last leg with Vz and their COMPLETE lack of support.  There is a reason its one of the few apps with a  1 star rating on App Store....

Any updates Vz or should I just go the cheaper route and get a new phone and service?

With no VZW update/fix, other users have been able to restore an archived version of the app that worked.  Are you able to do that?  Maybe someone that has the archived app, can post it in a Dropbox, if it is an install file or .exe, for affected users to download?

Debster, I did try the new update. Still doesn't work. Open the app and then it disappears.
