SMS/TEXT messages from a location/provider that I want to receive messages from are being filtered. How can I get Verizon to stop blocking these messages. They are not from a phone number

What type of text message application are you utilizing on your device (VZW Messages, pre-loaded, 3rd party)? Can you please clarify if you have ever been able to receive a text message from this individual? Also, can you please explain how the message is being sent, since there is a no phone number associated? Please share more details.
