Smart Family companion won't sync

I have been trying to install Smart Family and sync my daughter's iPhone 6sPlus for two hours - when I get into the companion app on her phone, I only get the "Show me how" option...and if I select it NOTHING happens. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, even removed her from my family on my phone and started over. Please help.

I am also having this same problem. The os and plan that we have is compatible and I have not been able to fix this issue.
