Text messages missing from log

I had about 35 text messages all from the same number disappear from the message log that is on-line. Do you know how this happened and how do I get them back?

Hello JoeV13, let's solve this mystery together! The text details will show online for a maximum of 90 days before the details are no longer available and new text threads update. Also, if you are using an iPhone and sent the messages via iMessage those details are not viewable since it runs through Apple's system.

These messages are from an Android phone and they were from last week March 25-March27 I think. They are on my second line and were listed on the on-line message log on Thursday but on Sunday they were gone.

Good day, JoeV13! Thanks for the further details. I was wondering what kind of Android device do you have? Are you using the defult text messaging application on the phone or are you using a 3rd party app (example: Hangouts, GoSms Pro)? Have you noticed this happening to other messages in your phone? Motorola Razr M with the default messaging app. No I have not seen this happen to other messages yet.

The odd part these numbers only seem to disappear from one of the for numbers that I have.

Thanks for all the extra details, JoeV13. I use Verizon Messages myself and love having those texts to view online. If you look at the user's phone, are those same messages you're referring to still on the phone? If the user has deleted the text messages from their phone through the Verizon Messages application and the device syncs with the website, the messages are deleted from the website as well. They can only be restored if the messages had been saved to the SD card or internal phone storage.

So, just to make sure I have it right if on the standard text messaging on my android if you delete a message your message is removed from the on-line log? Am I correct?

I'm curious to which online log you are referring? Is this simply the log of date/time/number of text available within your MyVerizon WITHOUT actual content, or is this an online log which includes content?

the history log that is just date / time of message. I did not know there was a log that included content. Where is that log?

Deleting messages from your phone SHOULD NOT alter the log in your MyVerizon for the date/time/number of a text.
The information in your log is ONLY data since your last billing cycle ended, though. You say the messages in question were from March 25-27. If you billing cycle ended between that time AND today, that usage would have been removed from your log and a new monthly log would have been started. For example, my billing cycle ends on the 15th of the month. I have info in my log since March 16. On April 15, all of this information will be erased.
If you install Verizon Messages on your phone, you would be able to access content from your texts on a computer/tablet including date/time/number/content. I find this to be quite helpful as I can text as if from my phone on my tablet at home from a much larger screen. Anything sent from my tablet(or computer) will automatically be synced to my phone and vice versa.

Billing cycle just ended on the 8th but they were gone before then

It just happened again today. This 324 number was there all week on my 3188 line but now these messages are gone from all but the messages that were sent and received today. This is strange is someone deleting these from the log or what? Please help me. I did download these logs but this does not make any sense why only these numbers are being removed. Can someone at Verizon or someone else delete these log records? If so who? If someone is doing this as the account manager I want this to stop. Please help me figure this out.

We want you to be able to view your full text log! Have you noticed if it is just a specific number that is being removed from the log? Does every instance on the text log for the number disappear or just one message?

it was mainly two numbers one shows as (removed) but it is an international number so the starting country code is missing. There is another number from the 324 also but I forget what the rest of that number is.
There was probably over 100 entries in all, it just happened again today where the number disappears.
