We currently have a monitoring software that uses a modem to dial the Verizon TAP number (866-XXX-XXXX) and send text message alerts to our Verizon Wireless customers. This has worked perfectly for several years until 2 weeks ago. Instead of the clients getting their alerts showing as coming from their own number, it now is coming from a different 777268433XXX or 777253466XXX numbers (these are the most recent ones on my phone). Instead of being grouped together as being from one contact, they are getting buried in text messages from unique numbers. Is anyone else having this issue or know of another TAP number that is not sending from unique numbers each time?

This is also happening to our team for those on Verizon. We utilize Nagios for network monitoring and alerts are sent to our phones in the event that we are not reachable via email, in cases such as network outages where the monitoring server cannot successfully send us an email notification. This has been working just fine till a few weeks ago. Ive had to clean up my message center due to all the message threads that are being created. We've tried other TAP numbers, all of which return the same results.
