I am overseas for military deployment. If I enable wifi calligc and am connected to WiFi, will this avoid the international fees for calling? What about text messages?

Wi-Fi calling is a good way to avoid international roaming charges if you need to use your device while you are overseas. The phone does need to be on an active line in order to use Wi-Fi calling, and you may need to connect to a cellular network at least initially to get it set up.
