Can someone please help. I have spent 4 days now trying to get the Verizon extender connected.
I have a Xfinity Gateway Router/Modem (all in one). I followed all of the instructions, while I was on the Verizon setup page it had me change the IP address on the Xfinity Gateway Router to 192.168.0.1. After I changed it, we lost internet and then everything reconnected. I have tried to log into the Xfinity Gateway admin log on page, but I cant get in because I do not know the PASSWORD. The user name is admin. I tried all of the passwords I found online (admin/Admin/1234/password/nothing) and none of those work.
I think I have to get into the admin page to tell the router to allow the extender.
Can someone please help me. I tried calling Verizon, and got disconnected several times after being on w/them for hours. I called Xfinity and the rep said she doesn't know. how to help me.

Have you tried doing a Factory Reset on the device to reset it to defaults and start over? There should be a button somewhere to hold down for the reset. What does the manual say the default password should be?
