I just clicked on the new Samsung Galaxy S4 with my 4G access from Verizon and am not able to connect to the Google Play store.
It is taking forever to get to the site.
I have to assume it is a Verizon network problem.
I had not problem on my Droid X on 3G before here in Summerlin, NV.
You might have gotten more help from the community members if you had chosen to create a new discussion and marked it as a question in the Samsung Galaxy S4 space within this community forum. Since you choose to create a blog post it is unlikely you will get your question answered.
