Archiving this board and moving posts ...

to me is more confusing than it is worth.  Just which boards/sections/topics will replace this General Devices Questions section?

The questions may be common across all phones, but the answer may (and quite often does) depend on the phone or OS - and knowing that ahead of time can eliminate confusion and unnecessary repetition of information.

Being able to post your question in the specific section that pertains to your phone will work better - if not for those posting questions, then for those of us who spend (way too much) time here answering questions!  And as Simon pointed out, there is a section devoted to feature phones.

Just my 2 cents....

The phones are being sorted by operating system.

For example:
Feature phones section
http://community.vzw.com/t5/Feature-Phones/ct-p/Feature

Android section
http://community.vzw.com/t5/Android/ct-p/DROID/interaction-style/forums.att.com

Kin
http://community.vzw.com/t5/KIN/ct-p/KIN/interaction-style/forum

Windows Phone
http://community.vzw.com/t5/Windows-Mobile/ct-p/Windows/interaction-style/forum

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Hello Bernie157

If you do not have a smartphone than you can ask questions in the Feature Phones board:

http://community.vzw.com/t5/Feature-Phones/ct-p/Feature

There are also other sections for other type of questions:

My Verizon:

http://community.vzw.com/t5/My-Verizon/ct-p/MyVerizon

Wireless plans and features

http://community.vzw.com/t5/Wireless-Plans-Features/ct-p/Wireless_Plans

4G

http://community.vzw.com/t5/4G-Network/ct-p/4GNetwork

Hope this helps!

Thank you

No it doesn't help.  I'm aware of all these specific sections but as I said, some questions can be more general than one OS, 3G, 4G, smartphone, or dumbphone (aka feature phone).

In this case, you can do what I do and just list ALL posts chronologically without regard to which section they are posted in.

The only questions like this that I can think of are plan/data questions, which also have their own forums.

Could you give us an example of a question you have that would be in the General section, but not a specific forum?
