How can I direct message on the Community?

How come I can't directly message people on here??

There are steps you must take before you would be able to direct message anyone on these message boards.

First you have to send a follow request to that person. They have to accept that follow request and send you a follow request, too, which you also have to accept. THEN you would be able to direct message this person.

To send a follow request, you can hover your cursor over that username and there should be a "Follow" button to push in the dialogue box which pops up. click on that "Follow" button to send a follow request. You will be notified if/when that user accepts your follow request. Whether or not they accept it and also send you a follow request is completely up to that user.
