Do you feel better now that you have written your rant as a blog post in the suggestion space for improving this peer to peer community forum?
It is very unlikely anyone from Verizon Wireless including the social media team that roams the community trying to answer the discussions marked as unanswered questions.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
Yes. As a matter of fact I do. I will try to reach as many as people as possible bring awareness to Verizon's attempt to steal from their customers. I don't care which blog I post it on. I have posted this rant on several sites as a matter of fact. Apparently you read it. Whether or not you are a fan, you wouldn't want to pay a bill that you don't owe.
Looks like you have already filed a complaint with BBB. Unfortunately, that is the ONLY way to get these scammers to respond. Verizon has been running this scam for a while and you are just a victim. I would fight till the end and sue these scammers in small claims court for your time and effort.
You also need to file with The Federal Trade Commission. Now if Verizon is telling you that the phone was never returned or the box was empty (their favorite lines) then you also need to file a Police Report and report the phone stolen to Verizon so that when the person from the warehouse tries to sell it on eBay or Craigslist they cannot since it will never activate.
you can also try to reach the Executive Offices and explain to them what took place and see if they can help. Usually though after advising them that you have filed a complaint with the FTC they tend to actually investigate and find things in hidden corners.
