Why is my account showing my name instead of screen name?

I just signed up so that I could ask a question on the community cite.  My question was posted with my actual name instead of my screen name.  How do I change that?

Your real name is only visible to you; we see your screen name:  sngbrd9

You can verify this by logging out of the forum and then looking at your post.

It really would be better if the screen name was shown, since no one sees the "real name" anyway - why cause confusion??
