is there a button to view new messages since last visit?

99.99999% of forums i visit have this, but i cant find it here

also.  any chance of getting some decent forums software? lithium is slooooooooowwww

You can mark all messages in the board or topic (or forum, for that matter) as READ.....then set your preferences (My Settings) to mark messages as read once you read them, or each time you log out....then the unread ones will be the new ones since your last visit.

hhmmm, its must be a hidden location

im just used to seeing those options right on the front at the top.

but then this sfotware has always seemd less then inutive and bloated

guess i'll keep doin it the hardway

You can also use the following link to mark all messages as read, but please be sure that's what you want to do before using it:
