I watch a ton of tv and I work 2 jobs. Sometimes I fall behind shows a bit because I am not home until the weekend. We need a new dvr with more hard drive space. I know they said Jan at first and then they were having trouble getting the new dvr to work with the Verizon system. At least that I was what I heard. So the question is, when can we expect a new DVR? Since Jan is over, are we still going to get it in the 1Q? Double the capacity would be great right now.

I certainly hope they have a plan. The recording space of the their DVR should be their top priority. It is all about HD these days. That is what all the marketing is about. But how can Verizon claim they compete with DirecTV on HD when their DVR holds a paltry 25 hours of HD vs 100 hours for DirecTV. It must be remedied and soon.

Agreed. Recording space is definitely an issue, but even more so, the new DVR may just cure a boatload of other issues, too, like the HDMI handshake, blackouts, unreponsive remotes, bad guide data, etc.. Not to mention less frustrated customers and better PR. Let's hope. Thank you.

and they will be 320 gb hard drives still small and paltry but a step up. I just hope they have esata support or USB support for additional drives, but I Find that doubtful

yes, I would settle for eSATA support like I had a CV. That's the thing I miss the most, I've had FIOS for about 2 weeks now. I can't believe the motorola box has the jack but does not support the device...
