users expect the Next button to always FF or RW by 30 seconds. However, if watching an on-demand movie the behavior is to go back or forward by 10 minutes. This is ALWAYS UNEXPECTED behavior that disprupts the viewing experience.
STOP IT.
The button should always do the same thing. MODES are BAD for ux.
