The following scenario happened to me twice today:
- I started recording a program.
- While the program is recorded, I start watching it live.
- I decide that I don't need to record it, so I go to the DVR, select the program, saelect STOP, then YES; select it again, DELEET, YES.
- As soon as I click the last YES, the TV goes dark, the front display shows 88:88. Then I have to power-cycle the DVR box.
I tried to ask Verizon but their "live chat" person was a sales rep who obviously doesn't know anything.
Is this a known problem? What can I do about it? Should I ask VZ to replace the box?
PS: the DVR box is QIP6416-2
I tried replicating it on a 6416-2 we have here and it did not do that. So if we are unable to correct this, then we will replace the box for you. First see if the auto correct fixes this. Please press menu, then go to CUSTOMER SUPPORT, then IN HOME AGENT, then SET TOP BOX AUTO CORRECTION. Please let us know if further assistance is required.
