DVR connection to non-verizon wireless network

Anybody know how to connect a Verizon DVR (Arris VMS 1100) to a non-Verizon wireless network?  I do use the Verizon router for the internet connection, but I have a personal wireless router for all of my home devices.  This worked fine for quite a while but now I am unable to find any option within the DVR menus that allow me to make changes to the wireless network.  Thank you!

If your wireless subnet is different than Verizon subnet for STBs, you have to do routing in the rotuers to see each network.

And remote control feature of app won't work. Plus app will  believe you are external to your house and limit functions.
