I found out that DVR for Life means for the life of that model you have now. When the new models come out, the DVR for life ends. So I can live with the current one and 2 shows recording at a time and almost maxing at 99% and monitoring my storage. Guess that was in the small print. Anyway, I think Verizon should be advertising or at least saying the new DVRs are coming and will be able to record 10 shows at a time.

You know you can add an external drive to your DVR to greatly increase recording capacity, right? Still stuck with two tuners, but at least you get a lot more recording space.
I also have a free DVR for life so won't be switching to the VMS system unless they want to give me it for free too, which I don't anticipate happening.

It doesn't end just because new DVR's come out. But don't expect them to give you one of the new ones as a free DVR for life.

Right. I meant it ends if you get the new DVR that is coming out. Didnt mean it ends if you stick with the same old model.
