When I first turn on my set (Verizon DVR and Samsung TV; HDMI cable), the sound is fine, but drops out several minutes later (picture is fine). The only way to get the audio back is to go to Menu and sound returns 1-2 minutes later. The sound then remains on but this pattern is repeated each time the set is turned on. We have replaced the DVR and also tested with another TV. No change. We have changed HDMI cables and also tested with component connection. No change.
Any suggestions. All will be welcome. Thank you.
Do you have another TV that you can try swapping boxes? Looking to see if it is a TV or box.
I have the same issue! Sound drops out on my Samsung with fios box. I've swapped out the box and it still does it!!!! So annoying! It's been happening for a few months now!
What model box do you have?
How is TV connected to box?
I have 3 Samsung TVs and have never had an issue.
From 64XX to current Quantum hardware.
