I resent advertising on my guide
Why doesn't FIOS have 5 or 6 lines like Direct TV or cable??
Why is programming getting more stupid? Pawn stars, alligators, hillbillies, reality bull**bleep**, garbage picking????
Where is educational programming??
Is this the crap I'm paying for??? Seriously thinking not!
What on earth are you talking about?
-- The FiOS guide has 7 lines. You'd like less?
-- FiOS does not create the programming such as Pawn Stars, alligator hillibies and the like.
-- PBS has lots of "educational programming."
-- Nobody is forcing you to pay for anything.
Being bombarded by Verizon's ceaseless advertising is very annoying. Being presented with the BIG advertisement banner at the bottom of the channel guide is an affront to FiOS subscribers.
Reality TV shows are the least costly programs being produced & licensed to carry. Instead of providing quality programming to their subscribers, Verizon is compelled to maximizing profits.
As long as Verizon's customer base is willing to pay for the drivel on TV, we'll be getting more of the same.

Programming is NO different on Comcast, DirecTV, DISH, TWC, etc. if you don't like those then drop cable. I don't watch that garbage either only I don't blame Verizon. They are not the ones who program the various channels, blame; Disney, Viacom, AMC Networks, etc. etc. etc..
If you don't want to pay for it then you should seriously consider dropping cable, period.

Agreed - things change, that's the way of the world. I happen to like some shows that you obviously don't.
To each their own. There seems to be enough "other" channels and programs to choose from. Just watch
what you like to watch. Try setting them up in your "favorites" - it works well for us.
