FiOS Mobile image quality

When I run FiOS mobile on my android tablet (very high end, nothing else running on it) and watch a live channel, the image quality is TERRIBLE.

Is it supposed to be better than that? Or is it just not very good?

Anyone have any experience with it?

It is not as good as my HD TV but it is certainly watchable.

I get excellent quality using FiOS Mobile on my Nook HD+ running both the stock Nook operzting system and also when running Cyanogen mod KitKat.  The HD channels look great.
