Try just reconnecting your TV directly to the cable and do a channel scan.  This will find your all your local channels.

I can watch FIOS1 LI even though I'm and Westchester and STB box does not display the channel.

im in toms river i tryed it put the cable in my tv and scaned the channels nothing happened

You need to be more descriptive with your problem.  When you go the doctor do you just say I'm broke.  No, you tell him symptoms.... same wth technical issues.

So:

What cable did you connect?  and where?

Do have a TV with QAM turner?

Did you switch your TV to display the antenna/cable input?

Did you scan for digital channels?

Did you see new channels found?

Can you see any channels?

You should see FIOS on channel: 65-1017

Finally I'm pretty sure you get FIOS NJ but Verizon does not added it the STB channels. ....just like me in Westchester with FIOS 1 LI.
