I would like to understand what is the challange for Verizon to provide these channels, which have been adopted by a variety of other providers using inferior technologies.
Are there any short term plans to provide these channels?
Thanks.
This would be a perfect candidate for the Verizon Idea Exchange. Please search on the idea exchange and cast your vote. There may be another member who made the same suggestion. If not, please add a new idea so your fellow community members can comment and vote on your suggestion. http://forums.verizon.com/t5/Verizon-Idea-Exchange/ct-p/ideaexchange . The Verizon Idea Exchange is there for you to submit your ideas and suggestions to Verizon so that we can consider them as we innovate our products and services.

Anthony, they are already in the idea exchange and have been FOR YEARS (GOL-HD). Customers are getting restless because you all at Verizon seem to be sitting on your hands doing nothing (which I know is not true but since you are all so ridiculously secretive and not forthcoming it makes it look like nothing is being done). Also, voting is pointless, the BBCA-HD request was added 20 months ago, has 400 votes and nothing has changed. And then you add Twitter Joe's incredibly condescending response to a twitter question that asked about it and how it had 400 votes (but it's only 400 out of 4M according to Joe, so i.e. meaningless), it begs to ask, what’s the point?
I know you're just doing your job and I am not picking/blaming you, but I am one of those growing disillusioned customers. When my contract is up in October I won't so readily just up and renew like I did last time. I will weigh my options if nothing has changed.

All the others cable service they had those channels on hd I don't know was the problem with Verizon fios is the only one who don't have the channels I hope they get it soon;(
Sorry but that is not true. GOL-HD is only available on TWC, AT&T and Brighthouse. As for Fox Deportes-HD only AT&T and Brighthouse carry the channel (both per the AVSforum). Not exactly "all the other cable services" as you claim.
Now ESPN Desportes HD already exists FiOS, on channel 1537. If you're an Ultimate or Extreme (or sports tier/Spanish language) subscriber you should have the channel.
Fox Deportes HD has been on Time Warner in North Texas for quite a while.
Let's add fox soccer plus to the list since I'm paying $15 per month for this single channel with awful picture quality
