HLN HD In Verizon HD Channel Listings On Website - Coming Soon Or Misleading?

I was just wondering if HLN HD is coming soon or if the official channel listings on the Verizon FIOS are misleading. A friend of mine is looking into signing up for FIOS once his Comcast contract is up in a few months and he asked me about HLN HD and I told him that we don't get it despite it being listed in the channel line-up.

Any clarification on this would be helpful.

Reportedly being added "Soon".  I think some have said its in the guide at 601, but currently 601 is a quantum upgrade hard sell in my area.

Unless you have (or plan on getting) the Ultimate HD Package, don't hold your breath. Seems any new HD channels (including AMERICA 1 NEWS and AL-JAZEERA NEWS) are on the Ultimate package only.

Not completely true.  Some were just added that are in other packages.

And Justin earlier specifically mentioned Al-Jazeera being available in Extreme.

Oh, it's absolutely true...I HAVE Extreme and it is NOT available. Nor is HLN HD, AMERICA 1 HD and SONY MOVIE CHANNEL HD. They are listed but when trying to access, it states "Not subscribed."

I HAVE Extreme and it IS available. So there.....  I do agree about the other channels, but I most certainly do have Al Jazeera in HD in Extreme, maybe it is a Verizon mistake I don't know, but I assure you I have been watching it for the last several weeks in HD.

CBS SN was just added. Not sure which packages include it but suspect Sports package and Ultimate.

It has been a long time since the previous post hoping for HLN HD to become available. What has happened? When will it become available? It is a real discrace and lack of consideration for subscribers that FIOS is not doing anything about it.

I recently upgraded to their top tier HD package and shocked that as of 11/2014 this channel (HLN a/k/a Headline News) is NOT in HD!  Regular Comcast customers have long had this channel in HD and Robin Meade looks fabulous!!! I wish Verizon reps would see this bulletin here and make changes to their programming HD content.
