Verizon stated that I would get two DVR's for free. However, they started charging me for one of them and I do not really use it. I would rather return it now than keep paying the fee per month.
How do I return my DVR? I read on some sites that you can simply take the DVR to a UPS and that is enough. However, I heard from others that you need a letter from Verizon or a box with a return address to return it.
Also, will taking it to a Verizon store simply end this fee? Thanks

You can UPS it, but they charge you $9.99 for shipping, if you return their boxes....

That should be simple. I'm sure you can call customer service and ask to return it via UPS with a pre-paid shipping label. Or, I don't see why you can't call a Verizon Fios TV store if there is one nearby, and find out if you can return it that way.
I would call Verizon first.

I have the same problem, I have 4 boxes and only use 3. I was supposed to return the the extra and was lazy to do it.
Now 12 months later and I am still paying the stupid 9.99 extra,
I am going to return it next week, I just wasted about 120.00 paying for this thing.

Zman, if you have a FIOS store nearby, that is far and away the simplest and easiest way to return equipment. I have been to my nearest store several times and they say to exchange equipment as often as necessary. Here is a locator:
Good luck.
