How to stop the "Press Menu to wach Fios TV, otherwise turn off your TV"

The suggestion made in 2016 didn't work for me because I don't have the option suggested in the menu. BUT I had FiOS installed in June 2018 and this is what I did: menu/settings/ TV/my FiOS TV tray/disable.  I shut the TV off and tested it and it worked. (Before this I could turn the TV off and the banner would still show up.) Let me know if it works!

What model STB do you have?

I have VMS/IPC and dont have that option.

Update: Try this: system/tv/fios media tray/disable

Menu > Settings > System > Media Client Settings > Auto Power Off > None

That will keep STB from never powering off.

If that is all someone is looking for then ok.

I believe some have reported that media systems will stay locked on to a port if there is video present.
