I use the Motorola HD DVR box. I read an earlier post regarding a system update that affected the guide's resolution, which doesn't seem to offer a fix - but it also has affected my DVR, which no longer works. On demand programming still works, but not our recorded programming. This is a change within the last 48 hours. Any solutions to these issues?
Need a little more info.
1. What model box?
2. Please describe "my dvr no longer works". That is a little vague. Does it not record as scheduled, not play back recordings, Etc?
It's model number QIP 7216 1.
The DVR's not playing back previously recorded material. It appears to record as normal, but I've no way to see if it really does since there's no playback. I can access the menu where the programs are located, and the start menu for the DVR'd shows comes up when I try to play them, but then it immediately reverts to the channel we were previously on.
Need any other info?
That is a known problem, we think that started w/ 1.7:
Our DVR playback problems stem from programs recorded before the upgrade, and I've only tried a single recording since this started - I didn't get the impression from your suggested thread that the upgrade was affecting older recordings, am I wrong?
I haven't personally experienced that.
