With the older DVR, the main DVR unit would sometimes be a second or so behind, figuring that it was the unit recording and that explained the delay.
However, with the new Quantun set-up, the media client in the room next to the living room, which is a bedroom, is as much as 5 seconds behind the same channel on the main TV which is hooked up to the main media server. When watching sports, it is seriously annoying and really disappointing.
Any clue as to how to fix this, or am I stuck with it?
When I tested it I had the same issue. There was a delay between every STB.
I have not tested, but a delay is only natural with these boxss. The vms is the only box with tuners. At the vms box the signal is decoded and passed to the tv. The connected ipc boxes get signal from the same tuner in the vms, but the vms has to transfer the data to the ipc. The ipc will then turn the data into the signal for the tv. A lot happens to the signal after the tuner decodes it. This might not be the best option for you
So if you're watching two different programs and channel surfing on two different TVs (1) VMS1100 and (1) IPC1100, does this mean you can record just (4) programs simultaneously w/o impacting the two TVs?

Interestingly in a test a did the last time I saw someone post about this, I was getting the tv attached to IP box sometimes ahead and sometimes behind the Tv that was attached to VMS box. Just shows their are a lot of things that happen in Digital TV.
