Rather than talking his or my word for anything, I strongly suggest you check with impartial sources, like Consumer Reports, various computer, internet-related, cable, video, etc sources, and see what the surveys show, see more than a few customer comments, maybe check with your neighbors, etc. If you stop and think about it, there are really very few people here complaining about things in comparison to the the multi-millions of people using the FiOS service, many using the Verizon DVRs; why is that?
