I updated my K-lite codec pack (used for orb which I also run on the same system). When I fired up media manager again the ffdshow dialog box popped up again. It asked if ffdshow should allow media manager to use ffdshow - to which I said yes. After doing so, I am now able to stream video but my music files still do not play....
FYI.. The video quality is poor. Changing the bit rate from medium to medium-high to high makes no change in the video quality. I am running media manager on an AMD 4200+ / 1GB RAM / Gigabit NIC card / CAT-6...
On the one computer, I can play the sample file, but not any internet files.
All my videos from my camera are .mov files so I'm not going to be able to use this streaming feature until .mov files are supported anyway, but I'd like to at least get everything that's supposed to work, working.
Is there any plans to support .mov files in the future?
Thanks.
Yes, I've done all this, and run the register.bat and register3ivx.bat files as directed by telephone support.
It does not play the included sample file.
It gives an error that the operation timed out.
Editing the video rates changes nothing.
Yes, I have the parental PIN set up.
I have 1gig+ memory on a dedicated media server. AMD 3800 win XP sp 3
In terms of your streaming audio:
1) Check the bit rate. 128 kbps is optimal, should not exceed 192 kbps.
2) Check the file format. Supported Music Formats are: MP3, WAV, WMA and M4A.
Still working on video streaming issues. Will keep you posted.
Hi Brian,
The audio (very same files nothing changed there) worked on the previous version of Media Manager. It only stopped working when I did the new update.
As a question, how do I check the bit rate? I know that sounds stupid, but I am not sure how to check

Same issue as Sharkman. Tried everything mentioned, so far.
Have tried with Media Manager installed on machines with XP, Vista and Windows 7 RC.
Audio and pictures work fine. No Video, not even sample.
Could there be something in the Actiontec setup causing this?
I haven't tried bypassing the Actiontec, but if it works with audio and pictures, I would think
it should work with video, as well.
By the way, I've tried it with computer via wireless AND also with computer hard wired to the router.
Dave
I should have mentioned that the picture and music options do work as they did before.
Thanks
Charles,
Pretty much same issue here. Can't play my videos...I'm getting the timed out message...internet videos, photos, and music are all ok. I've tried my mpegs and avi's with no luck. Also, when importing an avi and mpegs the media manager software tells me some files is not compatible. It will import some but not others and they are all the same file type.
Looking forward to a fix...thanks!
