I just had Fios installed today. We have the Motorola 7216 DVR in the living room and the cooling fan is super loud. It didn't start out that way, but after about 30 minutes it kicked into high gear. It calmed down once for a short time, but it started again and hasn't stopped all afternoon and evening.
I have tried moving it to a more open spot than the cabinet, but nothing seems to help. I'm guessing this can not be normal as I can't imagine everybody would be fine with this noise.

Unfortunately the only fix for this is to get an new box. If you send me either your fios phone number or the name on your account in a private message I will send you out another box. Thanks
Frank, thank you for the response. I contacted customer service this morning and should be getting a new box on Wednesday.
Also, is this a common problem with this model?
