I live in the VHO9 area (Central VA), and NBA TV on channel 589 has been in SD for several weeks now, exactly the same as channel 89. Is anyone else around the country experiencing the same?
This will be entertaining to anyone who has had to deal with Verizon's customer service. Because I never got a reply on this forum, I decided to ask @verizonsupport about this on Twitter. I know that the channel is being shown in SD in my VHO, because me SD only digital adaptor tunes in to channel 589. After going back and forth, Vz Support told me this was because "not every NBA arena is equipped to send an HD signal." Hmmmm.
I guess I'll just wait till next weekend when they start to show pre-season games. The HD channel should be back by then, right?
I submitted the issue again on Twitter, and I believe I got through to someone who is going to get something done. They submitted a ticket to the national outage center, and I also directed them to the thread about this on dslreports.com.
Early this morning, the channel was in HD for a little while, now it's back to SD.
