I phoned Technical Support and Rick, the tech support guy, went the extra mile and got me a definitive answer from the media manager development team. They have not yet released the new version that supports video streaming. It will be released sometime later this year. The Version 1.6 STB software does indeed support video streaming and will fully function when the media manager update is released.
Thanks for all the help and the followup Rick!!
I'm guessing Verizon hasn't posted the updated version of Media Manager software that supports video streaming. I too was doing the same thing you did but came up empty. Reading in other forums, I've concluded since 1.6 was pushed out Verizon is implementing it's feature set one at a time (HD program streaming, Remote DVR, Media Manager update[?]). It sucks for us techie types but once it's out we'll never look back.
The current version I'm running is 7.2.58.
