New "Local" Channels in Fredericksburg, VA Area

it would appear that Fios has added several of the network affiliates (FOX, NBC, CBS)  from the Richmond area to our lineup. Previously our affiliates were all from the DC area. This is especially nice because it expands (on many weeks) the college footbal and NFL offerings available.  Is this addition only for the Fredericksburg market or the whole region from Fredericksburg north?

Thanks, Fios!!

WOW!! You guys get the best of everything. First, you get MASN2 HD on FiOS1, and now you get twice as many local channels! It's probably only for the Fredericksburg area though, since the cable companies all seem to carry local channels from both markets there. This probably took a lot of work on Verizon's part, since they have to get channels for you from two VHO's. It's been something that they've needed to correct for a long time.

Still waiting for any sign of MASN2 HD in Richmond, by the way...

Apparently, Comcast has been doing this for some time now in the Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania and Stafford area.

I really feel for you guys in Richmond. You guys have really been teased along over the last year re: MASN 2 HD.

I'm greedy and want BBC-America HD, CBS College Sports HD, HLN HD, etc. but need to keep perspective as you guys have it worse....

Would love to see FSC HD and FSC+HD--not because I'm a fan of soccer--but it would cut down traffic on this forum by half....Smiley Indifferent

Yes, be thankful for what you have. We were told in the middle of July that MASN2 HD "is coming" with absolutely nothing seven weeks later. Last year, we fought to get Verizon to add CSN+ for us after the FiOS1 people had had it for at least a couple years. We finally got it in February after all the Caps games on that channel were over. Whenever CSN+ HD is launched, you will most likely have it on FiOS1 HD, and we'll once again be told "it's coming" if anything at all.
