Verizon tells me that Digital Voice feature is required for on screen caller ID and that is my problem. This is not currently not available in my area. Is this correct?
No it is not. Verizon Call Assistant is required with non-digital voice service. It's free and can be ordered and activated at https://www36.verizon.com/callassistant/signin.aspx. Once it's active, then caller ID can be enabled, as well use of the VCA web site and PC client that provides a popup and caller ID/voicemail log. You can play your voicemails from the web and PC client too with VCA.
have 4 boxes and it only works on 2 .......go figure
