Online DVR scheduling not working

Has anyone had any success using the Verizon mobile website or the regular desktop website to schedule programs to record on your DVR?  I've tried a numerous times on different occasions and there is always an error.

At this point I'm wondering why the option is even on the website.

This is a common issue.   Call tech support or open a chat session and tell them that when you try to use the website to schedule a DVR program that it gives you an error and tell them the error.   They'll access your router and tweak a few port forwarding settings which will enable it to work properly (the settings for some reason don't automatically appear or get out of sync with the addresses actually assigned to the DVR and when that happens the scheduler doesn't work).   This most often happens the first time you try to use the service or after an extended power outage.

Fortunately it only takes them a few minutes of online chat to sort it out.

I just went thru this a week or so ago when I added a second DVR -- it was inaccessible from the website until I called and had them fix the router settings.
